Watercolour Pencils Background

Hello there and welcome back to my blog today, if you are a regular visitor! If you are new then welcome to you and I hope you like today's make?

This was the last project at our Watercolour Pencil class and was a cute mini card. There was a story behind how small it was which was mostly because my shipment of Watercolour Paper did not arrive in time due to Easter delays at the warehouse so I had to make the best use of every little scrap that I had!
We scribbled on the Watercolour Paper with Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry pencils and then swished over them with the Aquapainter to create this effect. To be honest I much preferred the background I made when I demonstrated it to my ladies rather than the one I am sharing with you here, isn't that always the case?
The butterfly is die cut from Rich Razzleberry card and I let my ladies use one of my brand new gold gems! OOOOooooooo!
We embossed the Thank You in gold and I still love seeing the first time reactions to heat embossing from the new ladies, it's always magical!

It's almost time for me to order my new catalogues and I have a sign up form for you to use if you are in the UK and don't already have a designated Stampin Up demonstrator and don't already get a catalogue from me at the moment.

Lovely as a Tree with Watercolour Pencils

Hello there and a Happy Friday to you! It's almost the weekend! Tomorrow I have a class using the High Tide stamp set which I am really looking forward to sharing with my ladies.

Today I am sharing 2 makes from last weekends Watercolour Pencils class. We used the ever lovely Lovely as a Tree stamp set which is a firm favourite and I an confirm this will be in our next catalogue! Its the only stamp set that has been in all the UK catalogues since 2007!
We used a technique that I picked up from our wonderful team member Amanda's blog. We scribbled some of the Pacific Point and Old Olive pencils onto the plastic sheet from the Stamp a ma Jig and then used an Aquapainter to apply the colour to the image. On the first two photos we stamped onto the Watercolour Paper which allows you to use quite a lot of water and get a good depth of colour.
On the card below we used Shimmer Card and did the exact same technique but as you can see the colours aren't quite as deep but you do get a lovely shimmer through the colour.

Here are both of the cards together. The ladies were very proud of these makes and I think the stamp set was a hit, even since 2007!
I will be closing the Online Code a little early this month on the evening of Saturday 29th April. Please ensure all orders for this months code have been placed before this date for a free gift in May.

Want a new 2017-2018 catalogue? Are you in the UK and don't already have a designated Stampin Up demonstrator? Then please click HERE to complete the sign up form and I will send you a catalogue in mid-May.

Jar of Love

Good Morning.
I wanted to take some time over the next few weeks to highlight bundles that are not retiring as products but will be retiring as a bundle! What does that mean?
Well it means that from 1st June these items will not be reduced by 10% as you can buy them now, and you will only be able to buy them individually for the full price.
I guess I am trying to say, if you like the look of one of the existing bundles then consider purchasing before 31st May to secure the 10% discount.

I actually have a class on Saturday 27th May featuring the Jar of Love bundle because it gets so much interest at my studio and I have never actually done a class there using it. You can find more details about the class HERE
In the meantime I will leave you with my favourite makes using this bundle, such a versatile set if you love flowers!

Yes even the spots on the card below are from the set too!

If you would like a copy of the new 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue and you are in the UK without a designated Stampin Up Demonstrator then please complete the sign up form

Beautiful You with Watercolour Pencils (again)

Good Morning. Well I am happy to say that the colouring class went really well on Saturday and the ladies all made some fab creations.

Today I am sharing the second card we made with the Beautiful You stamps. We experimented with colouring on different papers/cards and this one was stamping the "pink lady" onto Watercolour Paper and then shading in with the Pencils and a Blender Pen. I love the Blender Pens and the ladies all managed really well with them on Saturday.
The other ladies were "coloured" in with the matching stamp from the set which gives them an artistic squiggle of colour over their frock!
If you are wondering how I achieved the flesh colour when there isn't a flesh coloured pencil in the set, well I used Calypso Coral, BUT I took the Blender Pen to the tip of the pencil so I could control how much colour I needed and didn't get too much on her skin.
Here are both of the cards together from our lovely class, I'll be back to show you more next time!
It's almost time for me to order my new catalogues and I have a sign up form for you to use if you are in the UK and don't already have a designated Stampin Up demonstrator and don't already get a catalogue from me at the moment.

Beautiful You with the Watercolour Pencils

Hello there, hope you are having a lovely weekend? Yesterday I ran a Watercolour Pencil class with 8 lovely ladies. I have written this blog up before the actual event so I would love to say it went really really well! Here's hoping!

In the class I wanted to concentrate on the colouring techniques rather than the complexity of the cards, so the cards are all fairly simple makes, no fancy folds or anything like that kind of craft business!
This card is similar to one I made a few weeks ago with multiple stamping of the stylish lady from Beautiful You, one of the most popular sellers from the Spring/Summer Catalogue. I stamped the ladies in the Archival Black ink pad from Stampin Up onto the White Shimmer card which I just love for colouring on, it is a little more forgiving that standard Whisper White.
The colours used are Rich Razzleberry and Melon Mambo and I stamped an extra lady and cut here out and layered her up for a little dimension! Can you spot a new product on this card?
If you would like to get your hands on the Watercolour Pencils then they are a steal at £14.50 for 13 pencils and I hope that after today's class my ladies will agree that they are really easy to use.
